If
the HeatSmart Campaign sounds like something your community can use, we're
happy to arrange a consultation to discuss your needs and devise a package
that works. Here is information that is useful in getting started:
- Define
the size of your need: The most basic way to do this is to determine the
number of homes relying on LIHEAP in your community.
- Determine
the budget that might be used: The Campaign is able to provide a full-sized
blanket for $12, the same cost as Northwest Woolen sells blankets to the
government and the Red Cross. Use this number to determine how large you
want the program to be.
- Decide
where the blankets should be shipped: Shipping to a central location is
least expensive and most efficient.
- When
will you want to start? Ideally, you should distribute the packages in the
fall, as a seasonal reminder to conserve energy.
